Florida State Rep. Jason Fischer defeated Democrat Ben Marcus in the State House District 16 election, earning the Mandarin Republican a third term in the legislature.
Fischer claimed a majority of the votes with 33 of 38 precincts reporting results.
Fischer said he was “thankful” that voters elected him for another term. He said he plans to continue advocating for school choice, as well as protecting the St. Johns River from pollution and cutting the communication services tax that is levied on streaming services and cell phone bills.
