Mark Lane: Gov. DeSantis rejects redistricting map so let the litigation begin

This was supposed to be the year of no-drama redistricting. And back in January, when the Florida Legislature convened, that’s what it looked like. Now, not so much.

On March 4, the Florida House and Senate paused from the culture wars long enough to pass new maps of U.S. House districts. Two, in fact — a Plan A and a Plan B.

Plan A is closer to what the governor wants. Plan B is what goes into effect should the courts strike down the governor’s map. Always good to have a spare.
